"Whenever Brightpoint Community College has been honored to have the actress, Ms. Charmaine Crowell-White perform at the Lynn Theater annually for over 5 years now. Her ability to capture the essence of historical figures, such as Harriet Tubman and Sojourner Truth is mesmerizing. She is able to recreate how it must have been to survive during the era of slavery without her characters losing their sense of dignity or humor. As a celebrated educator, herself, we also appreciate that she takes the time after the shows to talk to our audience- many of whom are theater majors. Ms. Crowell-White is simply a delight and we can't wait to see what she teaches us next through her art."
